A Different Path to a Dream Home
Will Breaux struggled to find an architect who could match his vision,
eventually realizing no one could fully capture what he imagined.
Instead of giving up, he decided to design and build the home himself.
An Unconventional Idea
With no formal construction background,
Will researched alternative building methods and discovered shipping containers.
This idea became the basis for his future home on McGowen Street in Houston,
combining creativity, sustainability, and practicality.
Design and Structure
The container home spans about 2,600 square feet and uses a three-story layout.
Large windows, open spaces, and clean lines bring in natural light,
while a rooftop deck adds space for relaxing and entertaining.
A Vision Still Growing
The first floor is complete with a media room, bar, guest area, and studio.
Upper levels are still in progress, but the home already stands as proof that determination and imagination can turn an unconventional idea into reality.
